Hannah Montana!

It was such a pleasure to make this cake for Nicole's 7th Birthday. She wanted a Hannah Montana cake to share with her friends at their Girl Scout meeting. I wanted to step away from the traditional cake and do something more original for her.

Here's the finished product:

This day did make me completely HATE humidity though ... fondant and humidity to NOT play nicely together, so it was a mission!!

I'm so glad I was able to help Nicole celebrate with her friends. They all loved the cake and were SOOO excited when they saw it. They all had second servings too, so I know they REALLY loved the cake!!

Thank you, Lisa, for the privilege of making your daughter's cake. :) Nicole is also having a smaller party this weekend so I'll post pics of that once it is done as well.

TTFN!

Welcome to The Brown Box Bakery & some pics of cakes past ...

Welcome to the Brown Box Bakery's blog. (A bit of a mouthful, eh?). I look forward to keeping you posted with some of the fun things that happen when you're baking and testing out new recipes.

Here are some of the cakes I've made in the past ... Can't wait to show you all more!

This was for my co-workers' joint baby shower. They were both having boys!! This was so much fun to make.

Another joint baby shower cake. All the detail is marshmallow fondant & buttercream frosting ... yummy!!

This is one of my favorite cakes ever. I made it for my Mom's 50th birthday last fall ... not only was it beautiful, it was YUMMY!!!! Cream cheese frosting with marshmallow fondant embellishments.

This was for the Girl Scout UniquelyME! QuinceaƱera party. Since it was a group quince party, I made individual cakes for each quinceaƱera to take home from the party. Their theme was "Walk the Red Carpet"

I look forward to sharing more pics with you as I go!!!
