It's been a while, but it's been oh so busy!!!  So, let me take a minute to share some of the cakes I've done in since my last update. This is definitely not all inclusive. 😊 Here are some of my personal favorites:

A cake and coordinating cupcakes for a tropical themed teen party ...

Yes, everything except the stand is edible, and that is buttercream in those sunset colors under the hand-cut hibiscus flower design and chocolate shells and starfish.

The next one was inspired by the birthday girl's love for Robin in the style of Teen Titans. This was a load of fun to make!

This delicious creation was made for the sweetest young lady, Emmie, who was celebrating her 8th birthday with a splash at a local spring-fed pool, Venetian Pool.  It was a gorgeous day, and she was thrilled with her cake!

I had a unique request from my sister for my nephew's last birthday. She wanted a rock candy cake. I thought it was a different request and wondered how to incorporate glitzy, sparkly rock candies into a cake for him.  Then she showed me the "rock candy" and it was little chocolates made to look like actual rocks. Being the crazy tia that I am, that's what the kiddo got ... a cake full of rocks, albeit chocolate ones, for his birthday.

Remember, life is sweet, but delicious desserts make life's most memorable events even sweeter.

Hannah Montana!

It was such a pleasure to make this cake for Nicole's 7th Birthday. She wanted a Hannah Montana cake to share with her friends at their Girl Scout meeting. I wanted to step away from the traditional cake and do something more original for her.

Here's the finished product:

This day did make me completely HATE humidity though ... fondant and humidity to NOT play nicely together, so it was a mission!!

I'm so glad I was able to help Nicole celebrate with her friends. They all loved the cake and were SOOO excited when they saw it. They all had second servings too, so I know they REALLY loved the cake!!

Thank you, Lisa, for the privilege of making your daughter's cake. :) Nicole is also having a smaller party this weekend so I'll post pics of that once it is done as well.

TTFN!
